People often step into leadership roles in their careers with no real knowledge or skills on how to lead people.
Developing an understanding of and placing greater emphasis on human connections in the workplace is a universally available strategy that can help any leader meet increasing demands. Qualities such as empathy, care, and compassion are components of what’s known as the “positive human connection,” and when such virtues are displayed, leaders can efficiently meet difficult organizational expectations, improve staff productivity, and even decrease workplace pressure on themselves.
When employees feel comfortable asking for help, sharing suggestions informally, or challenging the status quo without fear of negative social consequences, organizations are more likely to innovate quickly, unlock the benefits of diversity, and adapt well to change—all capabilities that have only grown in importance during the COVID-19 crisis. Yet only a handful of business leaders often demonstrate the positive behaviors that can instill this climate, termed psychological safety, in their workforce.
This webinar examines the strategies necessary to grow into the leader you were meant to be and how human connection can play a critical role in the cultivation of leadership qualities.
